Counsellor Directory

This innovative membership service serves to promote business information about your counselling practice, specialized services and skills as well as the ability to upload a profile picture and business logo. With futurist trends heading towards a generation that seeks information online as well as a specific set of skills, knowledge and experience, the CPCA believes this directory will provide a competitive edge for marketing our member's counselling services across Canada to the public, insurance providers, EAP contractors and government for verification of your legitimacy. All members who are in "good standing" will be approved to list their contact information in the directory on an annual basis. It allows our members to login to their directory listing once it has been approved and make any changes to their contact information.

Description

I work with individuals who are beginning to understand how intergenerational trauma and early life experiences continue to shape their relationships, emotional well‑being, and sense of self. Many of my clients grew up with emotional neglect, addiction, abuse, or instability and now find themselves struggling with people‑pleasing, codependency, perfectionism, fear of abandonment, or attachment‑related challenges.
Clients often come to therapy feeling the effects of chronic stress in both their minds and bodies or feeling disconnected from themselves. Therapy offers space to slow down, build awareness, and develop healthier ways of coping and relating.
I also support clients exploring identity and belonging, including culture, faith, family roles, and the impacts of immigration or resettlement. This may include holding grief, loss, or unresolved experiences that have not been fully acknowledged or understood. Some clients I work with are involved with or impacted by child welfare systems and are seeking support to navigate complex expectations, reduce risk, and strengthen family relationships. This may include support with understanding systems, advocacy, and healing relational disruptions.

I offer a compassionate, culturally responsive, and non‑judgmental space where clients can explore their experiences, build emotional safety, and move toward meaningful change at their own pace.
